About Technical Assistance
The Federation offers a wide range of technical assistance to credit unions that are committed to serving low-income and underserved communities. This assistance is provided through two Federation departments: Technical Assistance for CDCUs; and, CU Breakthrough Consulting Services.
Our Technical Assistnace department helps CDCUs to meet the complex management challenge of running a community financial institution that is extensively regulated and supervised. Through training programs, seminars, and conferences, individual consultation both on- and off-site, and other services, our Technical Assistance staff has helped hundreds of CDCUs meet the challenges of operating in an increasingly complex industry.
Federation members receive many of these services at no or low cost.
